Last updated 24 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies used on the Stafford Removals Ltd website, what they do and how you can control them. For how we handle personal information more generally, see our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They let the site remember things between pages or visits. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in the same way and are covered by this policy too.
Cookies we always use
These are needed for the website to work properly and do not need your consent.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
cookie-consent | Stafford Removals | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Stored in your browser’s local storage. | Until you change your choice or clear your browser data |
Live chat
Our live chat is provided by tawk.to. When a page loads, the chat window sets the cookies below so it can work and so a conversation can carry on as you move around the site. See tawk.to’s privacy policy for more information.

twk_uuid_*, __tawkuuid | tawk.to | Recognises your browser so a chat can carry on across pages and visits. | 6 months |
TawkConnectionTime, twk_idm_key | tawk.to | Keeps the chat window connected while you move between pages. | Until you close your browser |
Analytics cookies
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit our website, which pages they look at and how they found us. This helps us improve the site. These cookies are only set if you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner, and we do not use them for advertising.

Google’s page on how Google uses information from sites that use its services explains more.
Google Maps
The map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps. When the map loads, Google may set its own cookies, such as NID, which Google uses to remember your preferences and which lasts 6 months. These are controlled by Google under its privacy policy.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind about analytics cookies at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the analytics cookies from your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the website, such as live chat, may not work.
